It starts with you, your house, and things you can do every day. In fact, you'd be surprised how easy it can be to make a positive impact on your home, and the lives within it. That's why IKEA is here to inspire you with the Life Improvement Project. We want to hear about the things you do to improve your life at home. Then, get inspired by ideas from people just like you, and pick up some tips that we've learned along the way.

The Life Improvement house is a collection of projects from people around the country who are making positive changes in every room of the house. We want you to submit your projects, which will then be added within our house. Submitting is easy! Just pick a room, tell us your story, and share. You can also browse through the house for inspiration if you're looking for ideas, and even mark your favorites. When you submit a project or add one to your favorites, they'll populate a personal life improvement home of your own to share with friends. Because what fun is being inspired if you can't inspire someone else?

We're even keeping a tally of all the folks motivated by your ideas. So whenever a new project is submitted or shared, we consider that to be another person inspired. And for each person inspired, we're donating a dollar to Save the Children's Early Steps to School Success (up to $50,000). Oh, and did we mention you could win prizes for your submissions? We know life improvement isn't about being rewarded, but we're so inspired by all the good things you do, that we want to improve YOUR life in return. So every time you submit a project, you'll automatically have the chance to win a weekly $100 IKEA gift card. We'll also be awarding $500 gift cards to the most inspiring projects (see official rules for details). It's just one more way we want to help you better your home.
